The Child Disability Tax Credit Certificate provides extra financial support to parents with children who have serious and long-term special needs.
This extra financial support is paid through the Canada Child Benefit (CCB), on top of the base financial support provided to parents who qualify for the CCB. Please read the the Canada Child Benefit (CBB) section for more information.
To find out if your child qualifies for the Child Disability Tax Credit, please read the Canada Revenue Agency’s Disability-Related Information publication (Guide RC4064), which includes a helpful self-assessment questionnaire.
