Emily Abud LL.B.

Emily Abud joined the firm through the Course aux stages process as a law student in May 2022 and will subsequently complete her articling in the summer of 2023.

Emily obtained her law degree from the University of Sherbrooke where she was very involved in her student association, holding various leadership positions. She lead the association's environmental and student health departments and then because student association president in her 3rd year, in addition to sitting on the feminist and family and youth law committee that she founded herself. She is now involved in the Association des jeunes juristes de Sherbrooke.

She also had the opportunity to carry out clinical activity in the Youth Division of the Court of Quebec under the supervision of the Honorable Marie-Pierre Jutras. This experience cemented her interest in youth law.

Particularly sensitive to social, political and intersectional issues and passionate about human psychology, Emily wishes to defend and advise her future clients with rigor and empathy.

Emily is fluent in French and English. If she hadn't been a lawyer, she would have been a psychoeducator.
