ME EMILY ABUD LL.B.

Me Emily Abud joined the firm through the Course aux stages as a law student in May 2022 and completed her articling with us in November 2023 under the supervision of Me Johanna Azoulay.

She obtained her law degree from the University of Sherbrooke. Throughout her studies, she was highly involved in her student association and held various positions, such as Environment and Student Welfare Coordinator, before eventually becoming President during her 3rd year. In addition, she has served on the board of directors, the feminist committee, and the family and youth law committee, which she founded herself. While completing her Bar, she was also active in the Association des jeunes juristes de Sherbrooke.

She also had the opportunity to complete her clinical activity in the Youth Chamber at the Court of Quebec under the supervision of the Honorable Marie-Pierre Jutras. This experience significantly fueled her interest in youth law, a field she is particularly fond of.

With a passion for psychology and a genuine sensitivity to social, political and intersectional issues, Emily aims to defend and advise her future clients with rigor and empathy.

Emily is fluent in both French and English. If she hadn’t become a lawyer, she would have pursued a career as a sexologist or as a psychoeducator.
