Me Sarah Ghaya is an associate at Goldwater, Dubé and joined the firm as a articling student under the supervision of Anne-France Goldwater in 2019.
She obtained her civil law degree (LL.L.) from the University of Ottawa in 2016 and her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Montreal in 2017. She is a member of both the Law Society of Ontario and the Barreau du Québec.
Sarah also completed a baccalaureate in social science in International Development and Globalization Cum Laude at the University of Ottawa in 2016, where she graduated Cum Laude.
During her studies she participated in a moot court competition where she pleaded in front of the Honourable Justice Luc Martineau at the Federal Court of Appeal. After her studies, she volunteered at the Legal Information Clinic at McGill (LICM) while also volunteering as a legal researcher at the Center for Research-Action on Race Relations (CRARR).
Sarah’s desire to become a family law lawyer stems from her belief that it is the most dynamic field of law where jurists must summon their noblest instincts. She feels it is a domain where advocacy can have the greatest long-lasting impact on people’s lives and where vulnerable parties, particularly children, need their interests to come first.
Sarah is fluent in both English and French. Had she not chosen to become an attorney, she would have been an actress.
